My Dad's Trip to Mexico
My dad went to Mexico right before Thanksgiving. Without me :o
He went to a market
with vegetables
and garlic
and dried peppers
and beans.
This chandelier looks like the one at Sonora Grill. Probably because my dad went to this same place to buy the one for the restaurant.
This is called a molcajete. It is used to smash spices and make things like salsa and guacamole. Or you can put flowers in it.
They ate lots and lots of food.
This plant is called agave.
This is an agave factory.
They sell them like this. You pick the number of which one you want to buy.
Agave is used to make tequila. So my dad went on a tour of the factory.
This is where they stayed.
And after all that Mexican I guess they were tired of it.

Canada Day
For Canada Day we went to my aunt and uncle's house. We got Canada balloons from Canada.
And tattoos!
We ate a really good dinner, but Kaleigh only wanted cheese.
Then we lined up for my uncle's famous plastic chair with rope tied around it swing.
It was really fun. Kaleigh was the funniest to watch!

Damian Lillard Day
June 28th was called Damian Lillard Day in Ogden. There was a big party for him at the Junction.
Outside there was a big screen that showed the NBA draft and in the movie theater there was a special screen that was also showing the draft for people who didn't want to be in the crazy hot sun. It was nice and air conditioned inside. And inside they were tossing out Weber State Wildcat claws.
Everyone cheered when he was picked by the Portland Trail Blazers and then they shot confetti everywhere.
Damian Lillard also had some brothers and sisters who came to the Junction. They all look just like him.
In fact, they went to Sonora Grill for dinner.
Because there was a special Damian burrito on the menu that looked like this:
Kaleigh had CRAZY hair that day.
And she loves the green salsa so much that she licks it off her fingers.

Solar Eclipses Are Awesome!
My neighbor Ashton taught us that on solar eclipses a safe and good way to see it better is if you look through two blank CDs but do not look through the hole because if you do you can burn your eye out.
The shadows looked awesome!
